INSTALLING AUDIOLOGO (Windows XP and Vista)
In only three steps you can install AudioLogo on your XP or Vista operating system.
Step 1
Remove the (old) QuickTime version
AudioLogo uses Java and QuickTime for some of it’s functions. That’s why the AudioLogo full installer will not only install AudioLogo onto your computer but also the right Java and QuickTime versions.
First remove the excisting QuickTime version from your computer. If QuickTime is not yet installed onto your computer you can skip this step.
QuickTime can be removed easily by following these steps:
- Choose the option ‘Set Program Access and Default’ in the Start menu
- Select the QuickTime program in the list of programs installed onto your computer
- Click ‘remove’ and follow the instructions.

Important remark for QuickTime pro users
If you have a QuickTime pro license please check if you have saved your QuickTime serial number on your computer. You’ll find thee serial in the ‘Edit’ menu under the ‘Preferences’ option. After reinstalling QuickTime with the AudioLogo installer you’ll have to submit your serial again.
Step 2
AudioLogo full installation
After removing QuickTime you can double click the AudioLogo installer and perform the installation.
Best you can follow the standard options and suggestions of the full installer. After completion the AudioLogo software, one demo style, the right Java and QuickTime software will be installed onto your computer.
Remark
AudioLogo must be installed in the C:/program files folder and can not be installed into the Documents & Settings folder of the computer’s user(s). This will be the cause if you’ll follow the automatic suggestions and settings of the installer.
Step 3
Uncheck the Java auto update
After installation it’s important to turn Java’s automatic update check off
Just open the Control Panel in the Start menu and select the Java control panel (coffee cup). In the tab ‘update’ uncheck the function ‘Check for Updates Automatically’ and click Apply and OK to close the window.

Remark
If you don’t turn the automatic update check or decide to update Java after you’ve installed AudioLogo, AudioLogo won’t be able to startup again.
In that case you must repeat step 1 to reinstall QuickTime onto your computer. You can easily reinstall QuickTime with the AudioLogo installer. In that case, choose ‘QuickTime Installation’ instead of 'Full Instalation' in the AudioLogo installer.
STARTING AUDIOLOGO FOR THE FIRST TIME
AudioLogo and firewalls
Some firewalls (such as the Windows firewall) recognize the AudioLogo software as internet software and will aks you whether to block AudioLogo from access to the internet. Always allow AudioLogo to access Internet otherwise AudioLogo can’t function well.

AudioLogo user’s license
When you start AudioLogo for the first time the user’s license will appear. Below the license you’ll find the Agree button. If you agree with the license and click this button the program will start. If you don’t agree with the user’s license don’t use the software.
You can always finde the user’s license in the AudioLogo program fodler at your C: disk (C:\Program Files\AudioLogo\AudioLogoLicense)
Using the AudioLogo software implcates you agree with the user’s license.
Registration and serialnumber
After the license window the registration window appears. Please fill in this form to register your version of AudioLogo online. Your registration data will be stored in our database.
